NEWS SECTION 2008 September 8th Hello again already!! I was reminded last night at our Sunday Services (which was soooo lovely!!) that we had agreed to do a fund raising party for children in aid of the young man who was savagely beaten recently in Parkwood, Jack Blanchard. Please click here for more information This should have been at the top of my list on my last newsletter and for this I apologise; Please, if you can't make it, tell others about it so we can raise a nice amount of money to give to Jack and his family. We can only imagine what difficulties lie ahead for this family and we would like to do something, no matter how small it appears to be, to help them. The Team September 4th Well I believe, as summer took a holiday from the world, it has to come back sooner or later so we could have summer this month!! Well one can live in hope!! Thought I would remind you of a couple of things coming up very soon, just so you don't miss out...... This sunday, the 7th, is our Sunday Service with Janis Perry from 6.30pm entrance £1. Janis is taking a well deserved rest from the circuit but has agreed to help us out for one night only! We hope this will not be the last though. Janis brings a joyful gentleness to the proceedings so, if you always like to see her work, this may be the last time for a while. On Friday 12th we have an Evening of Clairvoyance with Diane Hubert from 7.30pm. Entrance £5. Diane has recently returned to the circuit and cut her teeth on our sunday service a couple of months ago. Well she was amazing! So we thought we would get her to do an evening of clairvoyance so those who missed her at the service can see her in action again! Her accuracy was jaw dropping. Sunday 21st our special Peace One Day meeting. Still not fully formulated as to what we will do but there will be lots of songs, and hopefully, some interaction with those who attend. If you want to know more and missed the showing of the film that inspired us, please ring the centre on our normal number. Oh and by the way, dates are now set in stone for the panto...........oh yes it is!! Due to popular demand, we have 3 performances!!!!!! 7pm on Friday 2nd January, 3.30pm on Saturday the 3rd and 2.30pm on Sunday 4th. You must all be gluttons for punishment! Finally, please do check out our special events timetable for lots of other things going on and future plans but as always if you have any ideas, then share them with us. Just a quick note to tell you that the lovely Tony Faulkner is going to come and do a 6 week course for us on his Practicing Now group which focuses on the Buddhist traditions. It is a very laid back course, lots of great information and insights with a man who has so much knowledge on a wide range of belief systems that you cannot fail to learn something you would never perhaps have the chance to anywhere else!! click here for more information And, please don't forget our Peace One Day film showing on Tuesday 19th August and then again the 26th. If you can't make it, please tell your friends and encourage them to come and see what we are so passionate about. August 6th Do you know what is so wonderful about this country? You never know what you are going to wake up to, sun, rain, hot, cold........what a fantastic way to live, always a surprise, never what you expect !! Just a reminder about our Peace One day film show; please make the effort to come and see this, we can promise you it will move you. First showing is Tuesday 19th and the second the 26th. Garry Mannion has had a last minute cancellation at Herne Bay so will be holding a surgery at the Centre on Sunday 24th August from 11-4 ish pm. If you would like to book a session with him, please ring the centre on our normal number. At this moment there are 8 places left. A session with Garry is on a donation of £20 basis. Well that's if for now..........oh except to confirm that the Panto this year is....................Cinderella, with a twist of course!! Watch this space for tickets. July 28th Hello on this lovely hot summers day!! too hot for some and not enough for others, ok me!! Just a reminder that this Friday is Jane's Lammas Celebration starting at 8pm sharp. If you have every been curious about the wheel of the year celebrations then please do come along. Jane puts so much into the evenings and everyone feels very much a part of the the evening and of the celebration. This may be Jane's last year of doing these evenings so don't miss out! Sunday is our Sunday Service and we have the lovely John Tonbridge with us once again. He always brings his own light into our light.......6.30 start! Once again we just want to remind you about the Peace Once Day events we are running..... Tuesday 19th and 26th at the centre we are showing the film that inspired us. It only runs for about 45 mins but will make you stop and think. Entrance is by donation only but all donations will be given to the cause to enable them to continue their good work. We are still adding things as we go along but as most of you go away for your holidays in August, we slow things down a little which gives us time too to regroup and re think.............but the BIG news you have all been waiting for.... THE CHRISTMAS PANTO IS HAPPENING AGAIN!! The dates will be confirmed by the end of the week but looks like after the new year, perhaps the 3rd and 4th of January. We could have extended it to yet another performance but we are going to stick to the two........oh yes we are!! So if you want to make sure you have a ticket, and we know some of you missed out last year, please book your tickets asap. I know it is only the end of July but we could have sold the tickets 3 times over last year. And we thought it would never last!! So for now enjoy or endure, the summer is a time to get the bar b que out and have friends round and just take some time to be...........and mine is a nice sangria please with my kofta kebab!
July 11th Hello again already!! I am trying to catch up with 100's of emails I have been sent than I would like to add to the web site but for one reason or another I have not had time to do it. However, tonight, I have added some poems and stories to the inspirational pages but I would like you all to read this one that was sent by a special friend of the Centre called Hans; Hans is one of our newly qualified healers, a very valued and interesting man with amazing insight into life. If you come up to the Centre for healing, and you have the time to chat to him, you will walk away with another way to think about things!! Hans sent me this and I would like to share it with you........ REASON, SEASON, LIFETIME"People come in to your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, This person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometime they act and force you to take a stand. What we must realise is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on".

July 11th And yet another update!! PEACE ONE DAY. We want to get the word out about this event. So, to share with you the actual background to it we will be showing the film that this amazing young man, Jeremy Gilley, made about his journey to bring this idea to all nations. Tuesday 19th and Tues 26th we will be showing the film that caught our imagination and countless other people too. Entrance will be by donation only and we will donate that to the organization to help them to continue their campaign. We will start at 7.30 and the film runs for about 45 mins so if needed we can run it twice each evening. Please come along, tell other people about this fantastic opportunity, to be part of a global movement to bring PEACE FOR ONE DAY. Saturday 25th October. We plan to have an open day at the centre from 11-4pm (ish) running 30 min workshops through the day, demonstrations and talks. We will have mediums doing 20 minute private readings, healing will be available and hopefully, some items for sale i.e. books etc. We will post the full line up and timetable as soon as we have it sorted so again.........watch this space!! The idea is double edged.........to bring awareness to what we can do at the centre but also raise funds to keep the centre going in the way we feel is right through the year on minimal costs to you! More details to follow soon. Oh and don't forget, next Sunday is the Runes workshop with Robin Lown; if we do not have enough people for this event, we will unfortunately have to cancel so if you are thinking of doing it, please book asap to ensure it goes ahead!! July 5th Good Afternoon everyone, nice to say hello again! Well it seems like summer is trying its hardest to spend some quality time with us but is somewhat struggling.....still it has allowed the strawberries to be perfect for wimbledon!! Ok, what have we got for you today. Just some reminders and really to say thank you to those that continue to support us week after week in all that we do. If it was not for you all, we would not be here and we are here because we want to share something special with you; we want to share the lovely energy that is in this place, it really is a tangible feeling that everyone still comments on even on their first visit. We want to share our love of the work of spirit through our understanding, it is not the only way but its our way, brought about by our own unique experiences but which we believe can help others find their own way. We do not set ourselves up as guru's of a truth, just a group of dedicated people with a love sharing and encouraging others. This Sunday we have Diane Herbert taking our divine service from 6.30pm. As always we know you will enjoy being part of the healing energy that our service creates. You can have healing after the service and most importantly, if you have any questions, there are always lots of people that will be able to help you understand them. Tuesday and every tuesday is our healing night. You can come along and just sit in the wonderful energy that builds up through the evening or have healing, or ask about becoming a healer yourself. Alan and Dave are always looking for new people who want to train to be a healer so if you have wondered about it, just come along and speak to them and they will explain how it works. Friday 11th, Gary Mannion is back for another day of Spiritual Surgery from 11-6.30pm. This visit Gary has said payment is by donation but in the region of £20 per session. This is a group to look at and understand our own spirit, to feel it, work with it and then start to work with understanding how, why etc we connect with spirit on the other side. This is a great opportunity to meet like minded people, have a good natter, no doubt some good laughs and if you need healing there are healers there who are more than willing to give you healing. Friday 25th is our guided visualization from 8pm. this is a good opportunity to de stress and to find that inner peace that we all crave for, a time for yourself, and only you. April 9th Hi, talk about feast or famine!! one minute I don't have time to do one message to you all........the next I am on here every week!! We just want to remind you of the following.......... Gary Mannion's Surgery, we only have two places left so if you are thinking about booking a session with him, you had better be quick! Just ring the Centre on our normal number. The same goes for a private reading with John Tonbridge, only two places left. To book please call June on 01634 235959. Lots of things have been added to our special events diary but the first thing to note is our special remembrance service which is Sunday 20th April with Mark Fisher. It is a 6.30pm start and we expect it will be the same finish as our normal service which is 8pm. All of our workshops planned are subject to numbers; again, if you are thinking of joining one of them please book as soon as possible to ensure the course will go ahead. Once again a reminder for those that would like to join an awareness group but can only make the daytime, Lyn Bell and Betty Stewart are planning to run a group and again, need a minimum number to go ahead so if you would like to know more about what they plan to do, please ring Lyn on 07973785007 or click here Please remember that we are only here with your support. March 24th Hello and Happy Easter to you all from all of us; Alan, Dee, Jane, June, David, Yvonne, Richard, Cathy and Doreen. We hope your chocolate eggs are not too frozen to enjoy!! We just wanted to remind of of a couple of up and coming things that we hope will be of interest to you. Sunday April 20th we still have a few places left with John and Sue Tonbridge for private readings; if you do want one please ring June on 01634 235959. Cost will be £28 for 1/2 hour reading. Also on April 20th at 6.30pm is our rememberance service under the guidence of Mark Fisher. Thursday 22nd May from 11.30am will be a psychic surgery clinic with Gary Mannion. If you are interested in booking a session with Gary, please call Yvonne on 07788 791 677 to book a place. The Session will be 1/2 hour and the cost (I need to check) will be £35 but please ask when booking as I will know more later. The spiritual awareness group with Lyn Bell and Betty Stewart is starting to book up now, so if you are interested please call Lyn to book you place This is an deal group for those with young children who cannot get out in the evening. The date has still to be finalized but Lyn will be able to give you an idea of when they hope to start. . It is a course of 6 subjects to be covered, meeting once a month and run by Lyn Bell and Betty Stewart. Can you believe it is the 2nd of March already?? Where has the year gone? Welcome to our first news page of 2008. I know I know, why has it taken me two months to get the first one out.......I could give you the what's and whyfores but the top an bottom of it is.........I have not had time. (and the computer has been very sick!) After a wonderful Christmas at the centre things are now coming together for another eventful year here. You will have to keep looking as we have things to be confirmed so cannot advertise them until the dates are set. We are hoping to be able to bring to you a tarot workshop, palmistry workshop, crystal workshop, indian head massage workshop amongst others. And as always, if you have anything you would like us to bring to the centre, just drop us an email or give one of us a ring and we will see what we can find for you. By the way anyone who ordered a DVD of the play, it is at the centre whenever you can get to us or, give us a ring and we will post it out to you........special thanks goes to Gary Foord (June's son in law) who has made an incredible job with the DVD; we could almost be proper thespians!! By the way, if you would like a copy, I am sure we can get you a copy............just ask us!! Just a couple of things to bring to your attention today Wednesday 5th March Sandy Hartley is running a confidence booster group using EFT 10-11.30am. This is a safe, natural and easy to learn technique. For more information please call Sandy direct on 0845 0945 021. Then, on Friday 7th, Sandy is holding a Weight Loss group again using EFT. this is 7.30 - 9pm and again, give Sandy a call on the number above to find out more and too book your place. 19th is Jane's Eostara Celebration. It is a sharp 8pm start and everyone that attends Jane's wheel of the year celebration all say it is quite a wonderful evening. Come along and find out for yourself. Now going to April......and this needs to be thought about now, we have two events. Sunday 20th during the day we have John and Sue Tonbridge doing private readings. It is a 1/2 hour reading and costs £28. John and Sue were asked by various people if they would do this after their last visit here so they have kindly agreed to do it and plan to be able to do 14 readings between them from 10-4pm. That same day in the evening, Mark Fisher has been inspired to do a special service dedicated to remembering our loved ones that have passed. It will start at 6.30pm, same times as our normal service but conducted by Mark. 2007 December 21st Please note our Christmas Eve countrywide link for prayer has had to be cancelled due to unforseen circumstances but if you feel you would like to do your own prayer, just link in at 6pm and add your wishes for peace to all the children of the world in whichever way you feel drawn to do so. December 10th Well, its been some time since we have done our news section and I do apologize. There has been so much happening in the background in preparation for next year and most importantly, for christmas, there has not been enough time to get on here! Firstly if you were thinking of coming to our Panto this year..........it could be too late!! We are doing two performances this year as it would appear we made such an impression last year more people wanted to see it!! I can't imagine why ......Anyway Saturday 29th is already sold out and there only about 20 tickets left for the Friday's performance so if you want a ticket you had better get in touch with Jane NOW!! At £5 a ticket it is a real bargain, panto, father Christmas for the kids, party games, food, drink...........what more could you ask for. However before that, we do of course have our Candle-Lit Christmas Service, this Sunday the 16th. We hope you can join us, it is our normal time of 6.30pm start but as we expect we will have a few more than normal, we would suggest you get there a little early. As always it is conducted by the team and will have lots of lovely songs, carols, poems and a special healing time. This will be made extra special as we have Doreen singing live, Silent Night, it makes the hair stand up on end just thinking about it. We hope you can make it and we KNOW you will enjoy it. Yule Midwinter Solstice candlelite celebration with our Jane is on Fridday 21st December, the last one of the year and for some the most magical. Please arrive in plenty of time for 8pm sharp start. Entrance as always is only £3. click here for more information. Something very special..........we have been asked if we would link with a world wide event to send healing to children across the world especially those in war torn countries. We would like to invite one and all to this event, including children. It will be on Christmas eve to start at 6pm. We expect it to last no more than an hour and will end with a sherry and mince pie to get you ready for the next day!! The hour will be just prayers and perhaps a couple of songs just to raise the vibration. Again if you can join us that would be wonderful; if you can't perhaps at 6pm you can just send a thought out to join with those at the centre and other such centre's around the country, in helping those less fortunate than us..........and less fortunate can be not just in material things but those who have no one to think of them at this time or any time. Immediately after christmas, we start again and the first thing we will have is our normal first sunday of the month Service with our lovely Robin Hodson from Eastbourne. He is always an inspiration to all. Please check out our timetable under special events for the up coming events; events are booked on an on going basis so don't miss out by not logging on at least monthly..............one to note is the visit of Gary Mannion the Indigo Child and Psychic Surgeon on Monday 18th February...... it is a ticket only event, and we expect it to be a full house. We hope this will be the start of something different for the centre so come along and find out all about it. At the Christmas Service we will have some timetables for 2008 but as we are still booking things as we speak it may not be complete but it will have a few things we hope will keep you interested. Well thats it for now, I may be able to update you all before the end of the year but for now, wrap up warm and be careful out there..........there are maniac christmas shoppers out there!! SEPTEMBER 16TH Just a reminder that this Tuesday 25th is the next wheel of the year celebration, Mabon, the autumn equinox. This is where Jane is at her most potent!! August 31st Oh how time flies, is it really a month since our last newsletter. You know why? Our jane has had us hard at it with Pirates, Plays and Pamper days.....well I had to have the last p! In fact the Pamper day was Dee's fault!! Ok a quick update for those that missed some of our recent events.....Pirates day....it would appear that the children had a thoroughly wonderful time getting as messy as they could making swords, oops sorry, cutlass, hooks, eye patches, flying parrots, bird feeders and so much more topped of by the treasure hunt. It did raise a few pounds for the Centre but this is likely to be the last of this kind of day we do for a few years. The Talented Tanners did it again, twice. First our Race night.......first class fun for all the family...and no cruelty to any horse! This raised over a £100 for the centre which was fantastic. Well done Alan and Dee. Then Dee arranged a pamper evening for a group of friends who wanted to chill out together with the added bonus of 3 treatments all completed by qualified therapists. It would appear all the ladies enjoyed themselves although they all did seem rather sleepy when they left....we think that was a good sign!! So, if you and a group of friends (men, this can include you too) would like a pamper evening, we can normally take up to 10 people at a time and for £20 each you can have 3 treatments and the ambience of our centre and volunteers. If you would like to talk to Dee about it, give her a call on 01634 362121 and book now! Great for christmas presents for a group of friends and hen parties, something a bit different. So what's coming up now........well thankfully not as many things as our Jane would have us do. This Friday, 31st, is our regular meditation group with Yvonne, but as Yvonne may not make it, Dave is going to take it; if you want to give it a go just come along and Dave will make sure you are comfortable and can follow the flow. Next Friday (as with the first friday of each month) is Dave's Find Your Inner Light Group. Again, if you want to talk to Dave about his group, just give him a ring on 01634 668132. Friday 14th Evening Of Clairvoyance with John and Sue Tonbridge. This is the first of this type of evening for us and we hope you will suport it as all the funds from these type of events help keep the centre open. Tickets £5 in advance or £6 on the night 7pm onwards. For tickets please call the centre on our normal number. Fingers crossed, we finally have a lady who wants to do Pillaties (I know this is not the correct spelling but for the life of me I can't temember how to spell it right now!!) at the centre; watch this space for the starting date but it will be 6.15-7.15 every Thursday. I know there is a wheel of the year celebration coming up shortly and will post the dates in the next couple of days but if you need to know sooner, please contact the centre and leave a message for Jane to give you a call. As usual we do have all our normal activates which you can find on our timetable Well I think that is all for now.........can you believe we are gong to be in September on Saturday, frightening especially when we know as soon as the old time music hall is over, Jane will have us walking the boards once more for our Christmas Panto which I can't tell you is going to be Beauty and the Beast......... July 29th Good afternoon to you all. We thought we would spend this afternoon telling you what's happening while the weather is not at its best. This is because of course we will have a heat wave soon and then we will want to be out in the garden, not stuck in front of a computer!! Ok where do we start! The Week ahead..... This wednesday is Jane's Lughasadh celebration; 7.30pm for a prompt 8pm start. If you have not already been to one of Jane's wheel of the year celebrations you really must try to get to this one. Future Dates in August ......... Friday 10th a first for us. The Body Shop at Home........but at the Centre. All the body shop has to offer without having to negotiate the shops! We did advise that unless we had the numbers, we would not be able to go ahead with this workshop. We Still need another 10 children to be able to get Debbie from Norfolk. If we do not have these booked by next Friday, we will have to unfortunately cancel these workshops and disappoint a number of children who have already booked and are looking forward to the day. Please, if you know of any children that might like to do this or you have grandchildren or children of your own, help us bring something new to the area, something that could be both of value and different for them. July 5th Hello once again. We hope you all got a glimpse of the sun yesterday!! We are a little behind with our news letter, sorry for that. We hope you see our 1/2 page write up in the Medway Messenger on Friday? It shows our Jane giving healing to Dee. We were hoping they would advertise some of our up and coming events but it just mentioned some of the things we did. Having said that, it was great to have some newspaper space; it may bring us to the attention of a few new people. If you were not lucky enough to attend our evening with Robin Lown, what a shame!! It was a great night, everyone went away having had a great evening. I doubt if we would be lucky enough to get Robin again for such an evening but, we are going to talk to him about doing a palmistry workshop which is what his main work is now. If you think you would be interested in this, just give us a call on our main number. He also does other workshops i.e. runes and tarot; not sure if we would do that but never say never!! So as usual just a reminder of a few things....... Race night with the talented tanners...........lots of silly fun, bring your own nibbles and drinks. You can bring the kids too, this is a night they would enjoy just as much as you do. If you want to book a place for this night, give Alan a ring on his normal number or ring the centre. May 5th We would like to invite you to come and see a new art exhibition at The Centre. Artists Erica Langford-Thomas and Val Weller will be showing their work from 21 June through to 1 July 2007. Now for the rest of our news..... If you were thinking of coming to our evening with Robin Lown, then please act quick. We only have about 20 tickets left and then that will be it. Our Children's workshops with Angels and the Animal Totems booked for the 11th and 13th August still have spaces and as advised if we do not have enough children we will have to cancel. We know the children will love it, Debbie who runs the workshops really brings the magic alive for them and teaches them have to use it for all that is positive; helps them to believe in themselves and what they do. Now, fingers crossed, we will have a feature in the KM papers in the next week or so. We are talking to a reporter Wednesday 13th June with a view to getting some editorial about what we do and what's on offer. Fingers crossed he likes what he sees and hears! We like it when someone walks in and says what a wonderful place it is and how come they didn't know we were there.......but it would be even more wonderful if more people DID know we are here!! May 5th Why did no one tell me I couldn't spell 'this' on my last message!! Well things are moving on now into summer not that you would know it today!! Why does it leave us with such a feel good factor? I don't really know why but I love it all the same. Well what have I got to share with you today; a few reminders and a couple of new things to shout about! Sun 20th May - if you were thinking of booking the gentle bone alignment workshop with Norma, please do it now. If there are not enough people we will have to cancel and we don't like doing that to the workshop leaders! if you are interested, please give the Centre a call on 366944. Fri 22nd June - a great evening of entertainment with Robin Lown, palmist and all round entertainer!! This does mean of course beware of Jane shopping at the boot fairs for supplies..........if you are planning to have a stall and have anything like paints, glitter, feathers, papers etc etc.........don't think you will sell it for what you want.......our Jane has a way with her to get what she wants for as little as possible. This must be one of the best Easter's for a long time, sunshine and lots of garden-centre visits. We just want to remind you (and put the records straight) about our Spring Fayre. It is next sunday 15th April (not 21st as in The Net) Jane as usual has been on creative overload; she is making sure there are lots of traditional fun things for the children to do and of course things that the parents can join in with. There will be an egg hunt at the end just in case you have not had enough eggs!! At just 50p entrance fee we are sure there will be enough things to keep you all entertained for the afternoon. We open the doors at 2pm - 5pm. For those who like a bargain, join Yvonne in the 'Barter for a Bargain in Betty's Brick-a-Brack Bargain Basement (well, Yvonne does not fit in!!) We have been given lots of bric-a-brac to sell so do come and barter. Well, we have to say one of the best finds has to be FREECYCLE.ORG . We have obtained some great items for the centre totally free; of no use to those that offered them but of great value to us. We now know also where we can get rid of items we no longer have a need for; just because we don't want them you can bet someone will. So if you haven't already registered with them.......do it!! The whole idea is to stop filling landfill sites with items that still have plenty of life in them.......long may it continue, they are doing a great job. March 11th Hi to everyone, I only post a message when there is something important we want to get over to you quickly....and this is one of them. If you were one of those unable to make Friday evening when we shared in a thought provoking talk by Kaye and Simon and watched the film put together by Al Gore, as contentious an issue as his beliefs are, what you can't get away from is the need we all have to help stem the landfills from being filled with things that will remain buried, giving of toxic fumes for the rest of time... ...affecting not just us but our children and their children and so on and on. Kaye and Simon are both very passionate about how we can all make a difference in the world and shared some very valuable information that unless you were looking for it, you would not necessarily know about. Here, we would like to share with you the results of their search for ways to improve our future. Februay 18th Hello on this lovely chilly day. Its so good to see a clear blue sky, I just wish there was a little sun with it!! Well, a brief update on the Centre. We have finished painting for now and everywhere is looking a little fresher. No doubt we will have to do some more later in the year but we have to down tools now to take care of the important things. Pauline has worked her magic with our plants and they are coming home today, re potted, revived and looking great. Yesterday we had another successful Pamper day; I am not sure who enjoyed it more, the clients or the therapists!! It was a lovely gentle day and I am sure some people were amazed at how they felt from trying something new. What we would like to offer is if you have a group of 8-10 people and would like to make an evening of it, you can book a pamper evening, bring your own wine and nibbles, have a couple of treatments, finish with a short meditation and enjoy some quality time with friends and colleagues. This would be great with friends or even if you are responsible for work social events, a great way for work colleagues to bond. Good Question! A few months ago now, I was asked to take a group of people in preparation for a circle; to help them connect with their own energy and that of spirit. It has been an amazing journey for me in discovering just how when we trust spirit to guide us, they will take you where you need to be. We have worked with feeling our own energy, that of people around us; seen how it changes when our energy is low or high. How our mind changes what we give out and what we receive. How when we are ready to embrace the fact that if we believe there is 'spirit' out there remaining from the physical body here, then it follows, we must have the same powerful spirit in us now? When we trust in that, then connecting with the energies outside of us and this physical world, makes more sense and becomes more tangible. I am not an authority on this, I am just sharing what I have learnt and what I am given by spirit to help others feel the joy of knowing there is so much more than the heaviness of this physical body. January 14th Hello and welcome to a whole new year; to new challenges and the expectations of the unknown.......!! We have hit the ground running and are trying to catch up. We are about to give the centre a bit of a makeover.......after 3 years things are starting to look a little tired so with paint brushes, screwdrivers and dusters in hand, we hope to give it some much needed TLC. We are going to give our plants to some greenfingered people to bring them back to life and then in the spring, a lovely lady is going to plant the front green so watch out for some new plants to enhance our frontage. Alan has worked his magic and got all the heaters back working so we are no longer seeing our breathe in the air! You will see we have been busy booking workshops and fun events for the year; it doesn't stop there.....there are many more things to come but we need a breather!! As always we do ask for you to give us feedback. We would like to hear from you as to what you would like us to put on or organize. We only do the things we think would be interesting but we could be missing something out...help us get it right. Also about to be printed is a new diary of events........we are hoping you will be able to pick one up from the centre in the next week or so. You will have no excuse to miss anything with this new format!! Anyway, we trust the year has started well for you and look forward to another year of exploration and awakening. We hope you will continue to share the journey with us. love always December 31st Well, the wheel has come full circle once again and here we are at the start of a new and unknown new year. What the year holds we can only wait and see as there are no certainties, only expectations. It has been a year of of many emotions and compromises but we believe through it all, many bonds have been made and strengthened; but most importantly, lights have been turned on........ We trust that those of you who attended our panto enjoyed it.....we certainly did. We had lots of fun practicing although on the night, the nerves nearly got the better of us all. The one thing we all came out with from this experience was friendship.....and working together with such ease and single mindedness........it was worth the panic just for that!! November 27th Good morning. What a lovely autumn morning it is today too. The wind is blowing a gale through my back garden and the leaves are creating a wonderful movement of colour........I am so glad I am in the house!! Well we are coming to the end of our years program, still a few things left but I would think that many people are now concentrating on their Christmas preparations so we start to ease up of the organized activities. But never fear, there are still a few you can join in with. This Friday is Dave's Awareness Group, the last one for 2006. If you want to talk to Dave about what goes on in his group, then please ring him on 01634 668132. Saturday is our 2nd Hand Reflexology course. We have a number of places still available and I would strongly recommend it. The whole process is great for everyone but if you have family or friends who are unable to have any other kind of massage or therapy, this one suits all. This really is a fabulous relaxing easy massage that is fairly easy to follow. Book now or forever regret it!! Sunday 3rd is our Christmas Service..........and with the wall down!! Yes the wonderful Phil is making a great job of making our wall a removable one to allow the whole centre to be used when it is needed. It makes such a difference, you will never feel like a sardine again!! Our Christmas Service will be a mix of Christmas Carols and heartfelt messages for us all. We know it is early this year but as this is our first year of doing the services, we were not sue what to do; it could all change next year. We hope to see as many of you as possible, now we have the space to seat you comfortably!! Monday 11th the last C.H.A.T. session with Dee. Dee has gone through this so has a real understanding of what is most important during and after diagnosis so she will help you with a true understanding that can only come from someone who has gone through it themselves. Thursday 14th is the last of June's coffee mornings .........I am sure this will be a lovely meeting to finish off the year with something a bit special..........or perhaps just a 'nip' of something warm in the tea?? And of course, the Christmas Panto. God give you all a sense of humor!! Oh yes he will........Jane has us tripping the boards with great gusto. If you were thinking about joining us for this farce ......I mean this production........we are down to our last 12 tickets. Even with our wall down to create so much more space, we have still have to limit the tickets and we are down to the last 12. Still a couple of tables available so if you are thinking of it, act now or be left out in the cold! Our Pilate's class Mondays 5.30-6.30pm started this week; we have started this class as we were asked for it on numerous occasions. If we do not have a few more join then it will have to be cancelled. We have responded to demand but as yet there are very few that have joined. If you are thinking of it but need to wait till later or the time is an issue, please let us know. As we keep saying, this centre is for you all, if we have it wrong, let us know. The Qi Gong Group with Paul Paul has decided to do a talk on what Qi Gong is all about. This will be after Christmas. Therefore, he has postponed his new Monday group until the new year. Paul is also a wonderful Shiatsu Practitioner and offers special rates for anyone associated with the Centre! This Friday is the awareness group with Dave Rolland. Who can believe we are only 4 months from Christmas!! I know, don't talk about it but we have....well we have a Jane and a Jane is already working on the christmas Panto. She is determined to have us walking about in tights.....even if it is bad for your eyesight....... This friday is 'find your inner light' with David. It starts at 7.30pm and things are hotting up in this group from what I understand.....if you want to see what talents are deep inside yourself then you must come along. All will be revealed. Sunday is our monthly sunday service with Sheila Appleton. I am sure it will be another sterling service with Sheila at the helm. Even the rotten weather could not stop it!! But the sun shone just in time for Patric and Trudie to work their magic with the juggling outside. It was a brilliant day and all down to Jane for the hours of work she put into it and for those who helped on the day to make it a real fun day for everyone. There was no doubt that some of the parents were enjoying it as much as the children!! I am hoping to post some photo's in the next few days; just waiting for Jane to email them to me! Just a couple of reminders......... Sunday 20th the long awaited Gnostics afternoon session. Jo, who runs the evening, has organised a 1.5 hour walk along North Downs Way earlier in the day, which will be focused on the practice of awareness, and which she will explain in more detail at the start of the walk. They will be meeting at 11.30am at Cobham Manor Equestrian Centre, Water Lane, Thurnham, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 3LU. There is free parking there. After that, they will head over to the Centre for the workshops at 2pm. Jo has asked people to bring some lunch along with them so that they can stop along the walk for something to eat. You are most welcome to attend and I hope you will be able to make it. Hello once again! Just a few reminders to keep you on your toes!! This Thursday is our regular 'Practicing Now' group with Tony Faulkner; a must for anyone seeking to understand the meaning of life, buddhist style. This Friday is our Meditation Group 7.30 for 8pm prompt start; all are welcome.... This Sunday is our Spirit of Bredhurst evening service with Jane Kaby working Next Friday is Dave's Awareness group starting at 7.30pm, again all are welcome. Our Pow Wow children's fun day is taking on a life of its own!! Jane is bursting at the seams with idea's and each day yet another aspect has been added to the list of things to do. We will be putting posters out and about the local area nearer the time but if you want to know more, please ring Jane on the centre's number 01634 366944 and she will get back to you as soon as possible. It is with the greatest of pleasure that we can now confirm that our counselors are ready to start taking bookings. Nicola and Michelle are focused on helping those who really need help with facilities for payments on a sliding scale according to the clients means. I have recently received a poem from my 11 year old niece, Tyler, who had to write a poem about being bullied. Her school were so moved by her heartfelt words, they asked her to read it out in assembly. The trees are in full leaf and now is a time for the flowers to bloom. It is a glorious time for slowing down and recognizing the flowering of our achievements. It is also to recognise that these achievements bring change in attitude or circumstances or both. With this as part of each one of us, it is no wonder there is a lot of new things about to happen at the centre. Firstly, we would like to say thank you to those who attended Rob's inspirational talk on Monday; it was a lovely evening and very thought provoking!! Thank you Rob. Although we do not have the dates yet, this is a taster of what will be happening very soon.........We have two wonderful ladies, Nicola and Michelle who will be starting their counseling service at the Centre which is aptly named, Lifeline Counseling Services. They are two newly qualified counselors (I think I have spelt that correct?) who believe those who most need their skills are those who are least able to afford it. They have looked at what our Centre is all about and their aims and objectives are totally in line with ours so want to make their service available to all at affordable prices. We are just waiting for them to give us the date they will be starting. If in the meantime you feel this is something you will be interested in, just let us know and we will pass your details onto them. We look forward to welcoming them to part of the Centre's team. Then we are hoping very soon to be welcoming the spiritual surgeon Ray Brown aka Paul to the centre for a demonstration and to take his patients for healing. We are very excited at this. Having experienced Paul's surgery myself, I know how effective it is and how wonderful it is to be in the presence of pure spirit. Again, if you want to know more about this wonderful man, we have a video at the centre you can borrow and then see for yourself what an amazing experience it will be to have him at the Centre. We are hoping to tie up something with him very soon. Then there is our children's pow wow fun day.....still more things to be agreed but the date is set so click here for more information. This is the brainchild of Jane who is just glowing with creative idea's and energy.....this could be a wonderful but full day!! the idea is to encourage children away from the the computer games for few hours and show them how to use everyday items and items you find in the woods to make wonderful things, to help them to understand the essence of nature and to go back to the more simple things that can give us pleasure. We believe this will appeal to the under 11's but if you have older children who want to come along, please feel free. We have a lot of people who want to be involved (including Rob!) but we can always do with more. If you would like to help out with the children (and the grandparents and parents!) or to know more, please email Jane on jane@thecentreonline.co.uk We must stress that although we do have several helpers who are police checked, there must be an adult in attendance at all times with the children; we can't take children unaccompanied at this time. These are just a few of the things waiting to burst into full flower! We are just bursting with idea's of how to take the centre forward but like all flowers, patience is a virtue along with nurturing and love as the essential ingredient! so keep watching, keep supporting and watch the Centre blooming....... 5th June Thank you. Monday 12th is the first of our new season of talks with Rob Wilson. Rob is well known in the area for his work and knowledge about nature and the druids so if you have an interest please come along. And, for some reason, we have not thought about letting you all know about June's coffee mornings!! Tut tut, leaving it to a select few when we know that there are many people who would benefit from sharing a cuppa, join in the raffle and share quality time with like minded people all presided over by our lovely June. We meet for an 8pm start. This group is more suited to those who have some experience already with meditating. We are ready to take the dividing wall down; we have the man that can, we have the money, we are just waiting for the go ahead from our leaseholders. Fingers crossed it won't be too much longer. We have opted to make it on their open day which is Saturday July 29th. They have two each year, July and September. We think that in July you will see the true beauty of the grounds. 16TH MAY we have just been notified that the next Gnostic's evening on May 27th has had to be postponed due to illness, a new date will be advised shortly. Our apologies for this. 14th May What's new that we can share with you today?? Well, first of all we hope you have booked your place at the wine and wisdom evening......if not, you might find you are will have to sit on someone's lap!! We hope all you people coming are up to date on the wisdoms of life.....? We have finally started booking some speakers for Monday evenings. We are not looking to do it every month but just when a good speaker or subject comes to our attention. Our first is Rob Wilson on the subject of Druids, click here for more details. We are just waiting for dates on two other very interesting subjects, the Tibetan foundation and the Theosophical society so watch this space for them. We have booked the date for our next pamper day which is September the 23rd; please book as soon as possible for this if you want to make sure you have a place as these days book very quickly. And finally for now, we are planning a day for children over the summer holiday where we will be doing a dream catcher workshop for mums and dads or grandparents with children and other activities so again, watch out!
