MEDITATION FOR THE MONTH

I believe that mediation is a very personal journey that can often have far reaching effects on the person on all levels of their being.

As a facilitator of meditation, all I can offer is a safe space to practice with some guidance along the way followed by listening and sharing.  In this way we all learn to find that small quite place within us that we can eventually tap into at any time, without the need to sit with others or with others guiding us.  But having said that, sharing a meditation can also be very therapeutic and gives the person a sense of universal belonging; of sharing time and space with other like minded souls.

 

What I would like to do over the coming months is to share with you some short meditations that have worked for me that you can practice on your own.  It might be worth you talking the meditation onto a tape so you can then relax and play the mediation back to your self when you are in a more relaxed state of mind.  For me, I find it better to have my eyes closed but some people prefer to have their eyes open ........whatever feels better to you.

I would suggest if you can make the time, even 10 minutes each day, then you will undoubtedly feel the benefit after a few weeks.  I am the worlds worst at finding time to meditate which is ridiculous when I know how much better I would feel should I do it!!  I keep getting the universe giving me signs to practice what I preach!!
