December 23rd 2008
Well its time to say goodbye for 2008, not because its the end of the year already but because the centre is now at rest until the new year!
It has been a strange year for us as the centre, but our grand finale of the christmas service and the children's party show you how it is all so worth while persevering when things get tough.
Our Christmas service was full and everyone, without exception commented on just how lovely the atmosphere was, how warm and inviting the whole evening felt. We could not ask for more. We so love putting the evening together, with lots of heartfelt thoughts shared from our hearts with everyone there. Our gift of a crocus was received with great delight and we hope that they all bear fruit in 2009.
The Children's party although small in number was a great success. Father Christmas was his usual jolly self and each child had their photo taken with him as proof he is alive and well and visiting us as usual this year!!. The joy of christmas was in the face of each and every child and you can not fail to be affected by it.
As for us, we are all looking for a well deserved rest. Each one of us give our time freely and lovingly all through the year, regardless of how little spare time some of us actually have. At times we worry that we are not doing enough for those that seek our help but we know as long as we always follow our hearts and the guidance of spirit, it will be the right thing for everyone who walks in through our doors regardless of what we think!! So for the next few weeks we are going to put our feet up, enjoy our families and friends and just be in the joy of christmas knowing that whatever next year brings, as long as we remain true to our spirit, the Centre will carry on being the beacon of light, the oasis of tranquility that most tell us they find there.
So until the new year, may the blessings of this time be abundant in your life, may you know much love and kindness and more importantly be able to give much love and kindness to all that you meet.
